Clause
Sentence = subject = predicate.
A sentence or a part of sentence with its own subject and predicate .
1) clause = 1) subject + 1) predicate
2) clause = 2) subject + 2) predicate
3) clause = 3) subject + 3) predicate
For example: I am
a boy. I am a boy and
she is a girl

clause; main / principal (M .c) independent in natural can stand on its own .
clause; subordinate (S. c) dependent in nature cannot stand
on its own always dependent on the main clause . always gives information about

Simple, 1 M.c
Only one main clause.
Example; aalia is a mother.
Compound, 2 M.c
Two more main clause joined by a coordinate conjunction.
Example; aalia is a mother but ahmed is a son.
Complex, 1 M.c + 1 S.c
At least one main clause joined with one or more
sub-ordinate clause by sub-ordinating conjunction.
Example; aalia is a mother so ahmed is a son .
Object: answer what on
verb .
Carries action of verb.
Always comes after the main verb
Example, (1) I teach. (2) I teach English .
Complement: mostly, it is the subject identifier .
Never carries an action verb.
Always comes after helping verb.
Example;(1) you are a gamer. (2) ali is a nice boy .
